About our client



Our client is a respected Global Law firm with a distinguished real estate finance practice, known for delivering complex and high-value transactions for a premier list of lenders, investors, and developers.



The role



In this role, you will be a crucial member of the deal team, contributing to live transactions from inception to completion under the close guidance of partners and senior associates. This position offers a unique chance to deepen your understanding of both development finance (including draw-downs and monitoring surveyor reports) and investment finance (advising on cash management and financial covenants).



Key responsibilities




  • Drafting and negotiating complex facility agreements, security documents, and inter-creditor agreements for real estate finance transactions.

  • Managing conditions precedent and closing processes, coordinating with trainees and paralegals.

  • Acting for banks, debt funds, alternative lenders, and institutional investors on highly structured deals.

  • Supporting business development initiatives and building strong client relationships.

  • Collaborating with partners and associates to improve team efficiencies and working arrangements.



Essential skills and experience required:




  • UK-qualified solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE and experience in real estate finance.

  • Strong technical ability and commercial acumen.

  • Proven drafting and negotiation skills for Real Estate Finance transactions.

  • Ability to manage client files and maintain high levels of client contact.

  • Entrepreneurial attitude and interest in business development.



Location & ways of working



This role is based at our client’s central London office and offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. Standard working hours are 09:30–17:30, Monday to Friday, with the understanding that flexibility is needed during busy transaction periods.
